PD Bobby

03/02/2020 – 01/02/2022

April 2021 – 01/02/2022

Handler PC Hopley

Bobby’s handler wrote the following.

“Bobby licenced as an Explosive Detection Dog in 2021.  Sadly Bobby’s career was a short one and following a short illness he passed away just 2 days before his 2nd birthday.

Although his life was heartbreakingly short he had such a huge positive effect on everyone.

Bobby wasn’t just a police dog he was a much loved member of our family. Whilst he may have been a little dog he had a massive personality and touched the hearts of everyone he met. He will be very sorely missed by Michele and myself.”

PD Euro

Handler PC Darby.

PD 4158 Euro proudly and loyally served as a General Purpose and firearms support dog.

He was to reluctantly retire in the summer of 2018. However, that was never to be. PD Euro unexpectedly died on Saturday 20th January 2018. He was eight years old

PC Darby said: “He was my protector and my partner. There was nothing we wouldn’t have faced together.”

His father, RPD Sarge had died 24 hours before.

They are described as ‘two very special boys,’
