National Crime Agency

RPD Bess

Bess started service as a proactive search dog with The Serious Organised Crime Agency (their first) in 2009 at 10 months old, moving to The National Crime Agency in 2013. She worked tirelessly detecting drugs, firearms and cash until her retirement in July 2016, when she was commended for her service by the then Director General Lynne Owens.

She enjoyed a well-earned retirement with me, her handler, until we had to say goodbye to her last Thursday 24th February due to cancer aged 13 years.
